If you are ever in the Bangkok area, FCD can always use volunteers, especially ones that have experience with handicapped children. You could volunteer to:

• Assist with some of the FCD Activities
• Help update the English webpage
• Guardianship - Providing guardianship to a child with a disability can be a critical contribution to the child’s quality of life. Guardianship entails participating and facilitating education, learning, equipment, and a sustainable career. To be a guardian, one must intend on providing long-term love and care and patience for a child with a disability.

Money (Donations are tax deductible)*

Because the foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, the FCD relies on grants and donations to operate. Any money you would be able to donate would help facilitate:

• FCD Activities
• Foster family funding
• Aid and supplies
• Publishing media and booklets
• Network and coordinate with similar organizations

Such a donation truely will result in a difference in a disabled child's life and family. Depending on whether or not you are a Thai resident, there are three ways you can go about donating to FCD: 1st) Paper Check Donation (recommended for Thai Resident), and 2nd) Online Donation (recommended for donors who do not have a Thai Bank account), and 3rd) Bank Transfer (presuming the fee is no more than 1%).

• Paper Check Donation
  Please send a check, payable to 'Foundation for Children with Disabilities'. You can also use a money order, with the Bill of Exchange directed to the 'Foundation for Children with Disabilities'.
• Online Donation
  We use the company, Moneybookers, to facilitate online transfer of funds. We chose this because it is the cheapest, secure, and most reliable way on the internet to transfer your donation. Though the process is a couple of steps, our appreciation of your patience is second only to our appreciation for your donation.

  Step 2: Upload funds to your account via bank transfer, credit card or cheque
  Step 3: Simply send the desired amount to our email account: prd@fcdthai.org, As soon as we receive the payment in our moneybookers.com account, we will send you a confirmation e-mail.

Also, if you're interested, there is a special fund called the 'Sa-Pan-Sai-Rung Funds' which publishes and disseminates information regarding the awareness of children with disabilities in society and how they can become normal productive self-sufficient contributing members of society. If you're interested in your money going towards this fund, please note so during the donation process.

Equipment

At FCD, they can always use extra supplies and equipment to help the children and their parents. Examples of such equipment includes:

• Lunch boxes - Every single meal is precious to those whose starve. There are still a lot of poor people who are deprived and need our help. We can be a part of it by learning just to have enough and not waste any single grain.
• Calling cards - can play a valuable part of faciliating communication between children, parents, FCD staff, and others.
• Wheelchairs - these must be made by a specialist so various children with disabilities can use them.
• Art and Music - children listen to music and look at art during their lesiure time, which not only enriches their life, but also reduces tension.
