Parent Training

FCD runs a parent training program to teach parents how to handle, care for, feed, toilet, shower, dress, and handle other basic needs for their children whom have a disability. Furthermore, they teach the parents how to help thier children exercise and develop the child's physical capacity. In addition, the foundation disseminates medical information to the parent on the subject of disabilities. The training duration is one week, and there is a one month follow up to reinforce the training. Parents are also encouraged to bring their child to the activities held at the foundation

Thai massage training

The art of Thai massage is a tradition that existed for centuries in the Thai culture, and has been a fantastic method to help the child relax. The touching helps the child loosen up, reduce spasticity, develop muscle control and bodily function. Additionally, it's a great way for the parent and child to bond together. FCD organizes Thai massage traning classes for parents on Tuesdays. See 'FCD Activities' for more information.

Dou-sa Hou

The 'Dou-sa Hou' Japanese rehabilitation program is an alternative for parent and kids to learn from FCD. Dou–sa Hou is an approach to train children to relax muscles by sitting, standing, walking and balance. Association of mind and body is principle of this approach, which mobilizes the child when they feel themselves. This approach don't need any tools, only body and mind of the parents and kids.
